The Chokio-Alberta boys basketball team forced 27 C-T-F turnovers and dominated teh boards 39-23 against the Rebels on Friday night as they posted a 73-47 victory. The Spartans shot a season high 53% from the field and dished out nineteen assists in the game.
The Spartans jumpd out to an early lead and had a 37-14 halftime advantage. Jordan Kampmeier had fourteen first half points and finished the night with 22 points and 11 rebounds. Mitch Daly added 14 points, six rebounds and six assists. Luke Claassen had a season high 12 points and Alex Erickson contributed 11 points on 5 of 6 shooting.
"We came out playing aggressive man to man defense and moved well in our half court offense, while also getting several fast break buckets in transition," commented Head Coach Paul Daly. "I worried about a let down after halftime with a 23 point lead, but the guys came out and took care of business. This was a great team effort."
The Spartans will participate in the Minnesota-North Dakota shootout held at NDSCS in Wahpeton next week. They will be playing Sargent Central at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Hankinson at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, and Lidgerwood on Friday at three o'clock.
