The Hancock girls basketball team evened their record at 8-8 when they defeated Campbell-Tintah-Fairmount on Thursday night 61-52 in Campbell. The win was the third in four games for the Lady Owls.
"These girls are really starting to gel together as a team," stated Hancock head coach Jodi Holleman. "It was great to have another balanced scoring attack as we had seven girls reach the scoring column."

Tara Thielke scored 22 points on 7-of-13 shooting from the floor and 7-of-10 from the foul line. She also led the team with six steals and six assists. Steph Hines was perfect from the line on five attempts and contributed 13 points and 4 assists. Stacie Cunningham and Chelsea Voorhees each grabbed six rebounds to lead Hancock on the boards.
"Chelsea played outstanding defense in the second half on Sammie Schmit and held her to two buckets," observed Holleman.
