C-A-H-N Earns Third Place Medal at Ashby VB Tourney

After a full day of competition in Ashby on Saturday, the Chokio-Alberta-Herman-Norcross girls brought home the third place medal from the Ashby Volleyball Invitational. C-A-H-N handed Henning a 25-17, 25-11 defeat in the third place match, marking their second win over the Hornets on the day.
The two teams clashed in the first match of pool play with Chokio-Alberta-Herman-Norcross winning the battle 25-16, 25-19. They then moved on to take Campbell-Tintah-Fairmount 25-10, 25-12.
In the playoff round of the tournament, C-A-H-N lost to the host Arrows 25-15, 25-18, arriving at the rematch in the third place game.
For the day, the team served a very impressive 96%. Kill leaders were Whitney Dierks with 37, Anna Wernsing with 13, Jessie Lehman and Kara Engquist had 6 each. Becki Zimmerman ended up with five kills and Megan Haney had four. Kristi Severance ended up with 31 set assists and Lehman had 22.
The overall record for C-A-H-N stands at 13-7 and they are 4-1 in conference action.
