C-T-F Wins Thriller From W-H-N

The Campbell-Tintah-Fairmount girls basketball team rallied from a five point halftime deficit to record a 49-47 win over Wheaton/Herman-Norcross on Thursday night in Wheaton.
"Tonight was a tough loss which came down to free throws and taking care of the basketball in the final possessions of the game," said Warriors Head Coach Jerome Huselid. "The girls played extremely hard and I was proud of their effort all night."
C-T-F hit 39% (17/44) of their field goal attempts and W-H-N made 47% (18/38) of their shots from the floor.
The Warriors were led by Claire Larson's double -double (19 points, 15 rebounds). Jess Shekleton also had another solid game, scoring 9 points (7/7 on FT's) and coming up with 8 boards and five steals. Lauren Kracht distributed five assists and Rhonda Nelk scored 7 points while grabbing 8 rebounds.
"The seniors showed great leadership on the court for their last regular season home game on parent's night," said Huselid. "Sarah Hoppe came off the bench giving us quality minutes adding six points."
The Warriors are 2-14 heading into a Saturday match-up against Brandon/Evansville at Brandon.
