A total of 90 athletes from around the state, including one from the PheasantCountrySports.com coverage area competed in the 2014 State Clay Target Individual State Tournament on Saturday at the Minneapolis Gun Club in Prior Lake.
Each participant shot 100 rounds, with a perfect score being 100 points.
Gust Lundeen of Dassel-Cokato won the Individual title with a 99. Colton Sherman of Brandon-Evansville, Hunter Mielke of Monticello, Jona Friesen of Detroit Lakes and Tommy Mavenkamp of St. Michael-Albertville each tied for second with 98 points.
Quintin Peterson of Lac qui Parle Madison scored an 89, which was good for tie for 54th place.
Buffalo won the team competition with a score of 489 out of a possible 500 total points.
